FLED International Leadership Institute is founded on the premise that leadership is central to the development and sustenance of institutions and nations. Poor leadership is responsible for pervasive poverty, disorderliness and under-development in Africa. The quest for prosperity, peace, security and sustainable development rests society’s readiness to train, nurture and deploy quality leaders to take charge of public resources for public interest.

FLED International Leadership Institute is a professional Think tank to promote integrated leadership development for Africa’s transformation. It was established on August 15, 1999 and incorporated in 2010 under the Companies and Allied Matters Act CAP 59, Laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and approved by the Federal Ministry of Education.

The Institute also engages in comparative study and research on social, political, and economic development issues that contribute to national transformation.
