Global Media and Information Literacy Week holds annually from October 24–31.
ABOUT THE EVENT
Young people today are among the world’s most active users and creators of digital content. Social media, Artificial Intelligence and other digital technologies are creating new opportunities for learning, communication, creativity and innovation.
At the same time, young people face growing challenges associated with misinformation, manipulated content, cyberbullying, privacy risks, online scams and the misuse of Artificial Intelligence.
As part of activities supporting the 2026 UNESCO Global Media and Information Literacy Week, the Foundation for Leadership & Education Development (FLED Foundation), in conjunction with Future World Magazine, is organising a youth sensitization event for selected secondary school students in Karu and surrounding communities.
The event will provide young people with practical knowledge and opportunities to explore how they can engage with information, Artificial Intelligence and digital platforms safely, ethically, responsibly and creatively.
